THE ALLURE BAND

Founded in February 2016 by lead vocalist Titania “Tiny” Adams, Allure Band was born from a simple request by Coach Butch McAdams to “put together some guys” for a First Friday happy hour performance at the historic Takoma Station Tavern. What was intended to be a one-time performance quickly evolved into something much bigger. After their debut show in March 2016, the band’s energy, musicianship, and crowd engagement made an immediate impact, earning them the role as the official First Friday band — a residency they have proudly maintained for the past decade.

Fronted by the dynamic duo of Tiny and male vocalist Maurice “Uptown Modiggz” Randolph, Allure Band delivers a signature blend of R&B, Hip-Hop, and Go-Go backed by an all-star lineup of veteran musicians: Tony Cothran (guitar), Jeno Myers (keys), Tim “NY” Gould (drums), Marlon “MoBeatz” White Sr. (congas), Fleming “Bootz” Anderson (percussion), and Lawrence “L” Farmer (bass). Their electrifying performances and authentic DMV sound have attracted audiences across the region, including notable supporters such as Mayor Muriel Bowser and media mogul Cathy Hughes.

Over the years, Allure Band has grown into one of the area’s most recognizable live bands, appearing at major events including DC Emancipation Day (2018), H Street Festival (2022), Taste of Woodbridge (2023), Golden Triangle events in Dupont Circle for the Mayor’s Office of Entertainment (2023), Art All Night with JusPaul (2023), the DC LEAD Graduation Ceremony (2023), 202 Creates Homecoming (2024), and CPRCNA in Ocean City (2025).

Today, Allure Band continues to bring unmatched live entertainment and a signature sound to audiences throughout the DMV and can currently be heard every First Friday at Takoma Station Tavern from 7–10PM.
